Steve Cronic was elected as Hall County Sheriff in 2000 and took office January 1, 2001.
After entering law enforcement at the age of 20, Sheriff Cronic's professional career encompasses over 33 years and has included working his way through the ranks as an Enforcement Officer for the State of Georgia Department of Transportation, Police Officer for the City of Gainesville, Investigator for the District Attorney's Office, Northeastern Judicial Circuit of Georgia, a Corporate Security Manager, and a Regional Fraud Supervisor for one of the largest and most successful companies in the nation. The G.R.E.A.T. middle school curriculum is a skills-based curriculum designed to produce knowledge and attitudinal and behavioral changes through the use of facilitative teaching, positive behavior rehearsal, cooperative and interactive learning techniques, and extended teacher activities.
